we′re sad

last friday montreal dj & vj euterke got killed a hit & run accident. we met euterke during our trips to montreal in 2003 and 2004 and spent a great time with him. he did visuals during both main events and later contributed a video to our joint dvd with epsilonlab. francois was a great person, we will miss him greatly.

our brand new blog is conducted by thinner members and friends. the purpose of thinnerism is to report about the develompent of music business and its cultural, economic and philosophical aspects. you will find a dedicated section about netlabels. while we observe a seemingly constant growth in the amount of netlabels being operated we see no progress in terms of public reception. netlabels remain an underground thing - and will ever continue to do so if no evolution takes place.

The second installation in our series Netlabels Who Care is dedicated to the Netlabel 1bit Wonder, a German electronic music Netlabel hailing from Leipzig, which offers a rich mix of diverse styles, ranging from downbeat to deephouse. 1bit Wonder just released their farewell release and cease operations. We had a chance to talk to labelhead Steffen some time ago before their closing.
